Janelle Elyse Kihlstrom's poems have appeared in Anti-Heroin ChicArsenic Lobster, BluePrintReview, Caper, decomP, Eclectica, elimae, Free State Review, Gargoyle, Ghost City Review, Ghost Ocean Magazine, Ginosko, Kin, Lines + Stars, The Medulla Review, Prick of the Spindle, Spilt Milk Mag, Thirteen Myna Birds, Tiger's Eye, Wicked Alice, the 2012 Reckless Writing anthology from Chattter House Press and The Way Station blog's ProjectONE ebook.  Her book reviews have been featured in Lines+Stars and in The Iowa Review. An electronic chapbook appeared in 2008 from the journal blossombones, and her first print chapbook, Blue Trajectory, was published by Dancing Girl Press in 2011. A new chapbook, Minor Theodicies, became available from Finishing Line Press in October 2020.  She received an M.A. in Writing from Johns Hopkins University in 2008 and was the founder and editor of the online journal Melusine, or Woman in the 21st Century, which ran from 2009 to 2016.  She lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her family, where she works as a freelance copywriter and editor.  Her other interests include neurodiversity, psychoanalysis, and the philosophy of religion, themes which pop up sometimes in her poems.  She's currently a certificate candidate in Disability Studies at CUNY and is interested in parenting with neurodivergence, especially from a feminist perspective.  She tweets sometimes @jekihlstrom and has a listing in Poets & Writers Magazine.
